Sleeping Around

Barbie and Jen are complete opposites, poles apart. In need of a compass… and a drink.

Jen and Barbie collide, in a play about the pursuit of happiness in middle life.

After her marriage to Bishop hit a rough patch, Barbie, a relationship therapist from Hawaii flees to New Zealand on the first leg of a world trip and “couch surfs” at a homestay run by Jen, a cosmetic surgery nurse, whose 12-year relationship with her partner, Eve, has ended.

Barbie and Jen do not make easy friends, but during a week together, sharing life perspectives, and inevitably attempting to change each other, they connect and make a relationship.
